The villa is ideally located to explore the Apokoronos region and surrounding areas. This is an ideal location to explore the local area for wild Cretan flowers in spring and the history of the German occupation in World War II especially the gun emplacements in the mountain behind the villa. Kokkino Chorio is famous for its part in the filming of "Zorba the Greek", the local taverna hosts the occasional Greek music night, and the village has some of the most stunning views out to sea, along with the only recycled glass workshop on Crete.
Villa Maypole is an attractive one storey villa and is fully furnished with an open plan kitchen /dining area and lounge. The kitchen is particularly well equipped with all the facilities to cook and even bake cakes. The kitchen has an electric cooker, fridge/freezer and washing machine. The lounge and kitchen area are furnished in traditional Cretan style furniture and has a spacious and comfortable atmosphere. There are 2 modern style bedrooms, one double and one twin bed room.
